We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. This policy - together with the SSAIB Rules and any other documents referred to on it - sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
Alarm Masters Ltd use personal information about you. We are required - under data protection legislation - to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice.
This notice applies to all homeowners who have had a security system installed by Ace Thames Security Ltd
We hold details of your name and address. We hold this information to enable us to comply with statutory obligations and to pursue our legitimate interests for the purposes set out in the section below.
We may use your personal data to:
Process enquiries and orders from our clients
To carry out any obligations arising from any contracts entered into
Dealing with system users and keyholders in relation to installed and maintained systems
Notification of changes to our services
To contact you with regards you annual maintenance
To ascertain if you remain a maintained client
Reissue lost certificates;
Deal with enquiries and complaints made by you relating to your installation.
If we need to use your personal information for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
We may pass information to our third-party service providers, agents subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services on our behalf albeit this is normally limited to employees, our contracted monitoring companies or the SSAIB. However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep all information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will never release any information to third parties beyond approved subcontractors for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes in any circumstance unless we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prosecution or prevention of crime.
•Or we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal details to comply with any legal obligation or in order to enforce or apply our rules.

However we take steps to ensure that everyone’s privacy rights continue to be protected.
We store all your personal details on a secure pc and in locked filing cabinets.
We only keep your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data - and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means - and the applicable legal requirements.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
Request the transfer of your personal information to another party.
